Offset Printing

At Eagle Web Press, we use the Offset Lithography technique of printing. In this technique, an inked image on an aluminum printing plate is printed on a rubber "blanket" and is then transferred to paper. Here at Eagle Web Press, we utilize strictly Goss Community Web Presses. Our press line consists of seven four color process towers and seven mono (one-color) printing units. The process is an "open web" non-heat set method of printing. We also offer a UV printing process in which the inks are "cured" (dried) by passing through high intensity UV lights.

We have dedicated a portion of our press strictly to this UV process. By doing so, it enables us to produce high-quality printing on several different coated and gloss paper stocks. This UV process can also be utilized on uncoated paper stocks as well.

If you would like to learn more about Eagle Web Press and the printing process, we invite you to contact our office to arrange for a tour through the plant. You may also find additional information on offset printing at www.britannica.com
